Botanical Watercolour Painting
Have you ever wanted to learn or improve on the techniques of watercolour painting? Join us for a hands-on day with Sheila Corner, botanical artist, who will take you step by step through the techniques of watercolour painting, capturing the detail of a flower, leaf or blossom to create a beautiful painting to take home with you.
Whether you are an accomplished artist or a total beginner, this is a great opportunity to learn more and experience the joy of painting. All materials will be provided - you are also welcome to bring your own if preferred. The day will be as follows:
10:00am Arrive for morning coffee/tea
10:30am Demonstration on the technique of drawing, use of paint and colours
11:30am Work on the flowers/leaves provided with individual attention from Sheila
1:00pm Enjoy a delicious two-course lunch with a glass of wine, coffee/tea and fudge
2:00pm Workshop resumes with a short demonstration
4:00pm The workshop will wind up to finish

Sheila Corner is a former head teacher, and since retiring studied botanical art and achieve distinction in the Society of Botanical Art's Diploma course. Sheila now runs a Botanical Art Class in nearby Rhos-on-Sea and also occasionally does demonstrations for art societies. She works in both watercolour and gouache and enjoys painting birds, butterflies and bees, as well as flowers and fauna.
