Bodysgallen Hall and Historic House Hotels understand that every guest has different needs and we aim to make our hotels' facilities available to all of our guests. Where this is not possible, we will endeavour to offer a suitable alternative.

Where is your hotel located?

The hotel is located 2 miles south of Llandudno. Take the A55 and exit at Junction 19, then follow the A470 (The Royal Welsh Way) towards Llandudno.  The hotel is approximately two miles on the right.

Can I walk to the centre of Llandudno?

It is possible to walk from the hotel into the town centre, however it is not recommended due to having to cross busy fast paced roads.

Does the hotel have free parking?

Yes, parking is free to all patrons of the hotel and the Spa.

Does the hotel have electric car charging points?

There are two universal electric car charging points available for guests staying overnight. Please ask for more information prior to arrival on 01492 584466.

Do you accept credit card payment?

We accept payment by American Express, Mastercard, Visa and Delta credit/debit cards.  We do not accept Diners Club.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel your reservation within 48 hours of your arrival date (or within 14 days for bookings of five rooms or more, or for overseas booking) is liable to be charged for unless we are able to re-let the accommodation to another guest.

Does the hotel have disabled access?

Yes, you may access the front door of the hotel directly by car, where ramps are made available to those requiring wheelchair use.

The restaurant, library, bar and main hall are located on the ground floor, while the drawing room is on the first floor accessible by stairs only.

Do you have a policy on children?

We welcome children above the age of 6 years in the hotel. Hotel guests' children between the ages of 8-16 years may use the swimming pool between 10am-11am and 4pm-5pm when accompanied by an adult.

Do you have a policy on dogs?

We have specific dog friendly cottage suites by prior arrangement, where we provide a bed, bowls and doggy treats. Please contact us when booking to ensure a dog friendly cottage suite is available.

Two small dogs or one larger dog may be accommodated, but are not allowed in the bedrooms.

There are many paths through the park and woodland where you may walk with your dog(s), but you may not take your dog into the gardens.  

Any damage to the rooms or injury to livestock will be charged for.  We regret that dogs are not allowed in the main house, unless guide dogs.

Do you have free WiFi?

Free WiFi is available throughout the majority of the property.

Do you have a smoking policy?

In line with National Legislation, our hotel is non-smoking, including all public rooms, bedrooms and suites.  A deep cleaning charge of £100 per day will be added to your bill if evidence of smoking is detected in your bedroom.

What are my travel options to the hotel?

By car:
Take the A55 and exit at Junction 19, then follow the A470 (The Royal Welsh Way) towards Llandudno. The hotel is approximately two miles on the right.

By train:
The nearest station is Llandudno Junction, which is 2 miles from the hotel where guests can be met by Taxi (please advise of your arrival time).  There are regular trains from London Euston and the journey takes under three hours by direct train.  There are also regular trains from Holyhead, the north west of England and from Cardiff to Llandudno Junction.

By air:
Manchester International Airport is just 1h20m drive (75 miles).  Liverpool John Lennon International Airport is 1h drive (66 miles).  There are regular trains to Llandudno Junction from Manchester Airport.

By helicopter:
Helicopter landing by prior arrangement is available for hotel guests.

Is the restaurant open to non-residents?

We welcome non-residents to dine in the AA 3 Rosette fine-dining room. Please check for opening times and make your booking online or by phone.

What type of food do you serve?

We serve a traditional modern menu, using locally sourced ingredients and seasonal fruit and vegetables from our own gardens.

What are the restaurant opening times?

The Restaurant opening times are:

Breakfast:
Monday-Friday: 07:45hrs to 10:00hrs
Saturday, Sunday, Bank Holidays: 08:00hrs to 10:00hrs

Sunday Luncheon:
12:30hrs-13:45hrs

Afternoon Tea:
Monday-Saturday: 13:00hrs to 17.00hrs
Sunday: 13:30hrs to 17:00hrs

Dinner:
Monday-Friday: 18:30hrs to 20:30hrs
Saturday/Sunday: 18:30hrs to 20:30hrs

 

 

Can you accommodate special dietary requirements?

We cater for all dietary requirements, and just ask that you let us know ahead of your visit so that our chef can prepare accordingly.

Should you have a food allergy or intolerance, please consult a member of staff before deciding what to eat and placing an order, on every occasion, whilst in the hotel.

Do you have a dress code for dining in the restaurant?

Yes, smart please (although jacket and tie for gentlemen are not obligatory): trainers, tracksuits and shorts are not acceptable.

Can I drop into the hotel and have a drink or a coffee?

We do not have a non-residential bar; drinks are available to residential guests and diners only.

Can I book for exclusive use or private dining?

Exclusivity of Bodysgallen Hall and private dining can be arranged through our events department at events@bodysgallen.com or by calling 01492 584466.

What are your check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3.00pm and check-out is by 11.30am.

 

Is there a minimum length of stay?

There is no minimum length of stay.

What is included in the room?

Do you have family rooms?

We have two and three bedroom cottages situated close to the main house or by the Spa.

Is the Spa open to non-residents?

Bodysgallen Spa is open to non-resident guests for spa days and individual treatments. 

 

Can I use the Spa while staying at the hotel?

Use of the Spa is included in your stay. 

What fitness facilities do you have?

We have a fully equipped gymnasium with cardio-vascular equipment and a Power Plate to cater for all levels of fitness.  There is also a large 50 ft indoor swimming pool, steam room and sauna. 

 

Do you have a pool at your hotel?

Yes, we have a large indoor heated swimming pool.

What is your Spa cancellation policy?

If you cancel your treatment less than 24 hours prior to the appointment, or if you fail to attend at the time of the reserved treatment, you will incur a 50% charge.  If you need to cancel, please contact the Spa Reception on 01492 562500.

Can I visit the gardens if I am a National Trust member?

Our gardens are open to residents and guests of the hotel when visiting for luncheon, afternoon tea or dinner, spa treatments or private events, irrespective of National Trust membership.

Can I explore the house if I am a National Trust member?

Our public rooms are open to residents and guests of the hotel, by becoming a patron when visiting for luncheon, afternoon tea, dinner or a private event, irrespective of whether you are a National Trust member.

What is the relationship between Historic House Hotels and National Trust?

In September 2008, Historic House Hotels Ltd and all its interests in Bodysgallen Hall and the other two Historic House Hotels, Hartwell House and Middlethorpe Hall, became the property of the National Trust by donation, with all profits henceforward benefitting the houses and the charity.

What is the discount for National Trust members?

National Trust members benefit from our seasonal reader offer advertised in the Trust's magazine.

Can I become a volunteer in your Gardens?

We welcome volunteers in the beautiful and exclusive historic gardens to assist with our work of continued restoration and maintenance (some of which are designated Sites of Special Scientific Interest).  If you would like to try gardening or estate woodland work, join our team of volunteer gardeners by contacting Mr Elgan Roberts, General Manager by email e.roberts@bodysgallen.com or by calling 01492 584466.
